Xi Shui Jing
Effects
“if the sea of marrows is strong, his light body is felt and the lifespan is longer than the normal.”
The concept of lightness of marrows expresses their good health and is thus to place in opposition to a form of heaviness which arrives with the age or a bad hygiene of life. Grease and the toxins accumulate in the middle of marrow deteriorating its operation and causing a premature ageing of the skeleton.
This ageing results in symptoms coming from a deficiency in marrows called into Chinese medicine “hepatic wind”:
- giddinesses - acouphenes - weakness of the knees and the ankles
- tiredness - reduction in the sight - auditive losses - loss of consciousness
These symptoms, not-treaties being able to lead to various diseases:
- disease of Alzheimer - multiple sclerosis
- migraines (chronicle) - angina pectoris (chronic))
- nervous diseases - spasmophilia
- Parkinson's disease - deafness
- osteoporosis - blindness ........
Chi Kung of the regeneration of marrows aims at increasing Yang energy with deepest of the organization. Then, the bones become strong, the light body, the circulation blood and of Chi is improved, vital energy is purified and reinforced.
Practice
Chi Kung of regeneration of marrows rests on 12 movements. They are only the support of a major work of visualization which makes all the interest of the form. Without visualizations, this form names “Yi Ji Jing” (work on the tendons) and has already good effects on the body.
Visualizations must be carried out without tried, as in an waked up rève. The conditions of practice are important, thus, one avoids the extreme temperatures, the wind, the storm. One can make the sequence the morning or at the end of the afternoon. To take its time, it is better anything to do nothing but to do it in precipitation. To place breathing in the abdomen, without seeking to coordinate it with the movements. To slacken the bottom of the back, which brings a light rocker of the basin backwards.
Preparatory Movement
The natural posture
Starting position, isolated feet approximately of the width of the basin, knees slackened without being folded, slackened shoulders and the nape of the neck, the basin very slightly rocked backwards. The eyes are mi-clos far the glance in front of is lost on the horizon. A light smile is outlined, as if one looks at a pretty landscape (it is what the Buddhist call the interior smile).
One remains thus a few moment, one minute or two, while endeavouring to simply appreciate peace, the immobility and silence.
Slowly to assemble the two hands in front of the chest like a gesture of prayer, the elbows slackened, the hands in contact, but without pressure.
One remains thus a few moment, one minute or two, while endeavouring to simply appreciate peace, the immobility and silence.
Preparatory Massage
To bring energy in the fingers
The massage of the hands aims waking up the feelings and at bringing a surplus of energy in the fingers.
By the massage of the hands and finger, one can act on the circulation of Chi in all the body.
1 - to rub the hands one against the other to heat them, one more particularly seeks to heat the palms or is the points Lao Gong (8 pericardium).
2 - to cross all the fingers and to make movements of before behind with the wrists in order to making that the articulations rub the one with the others.
3 - with the inch and the folded index of a hand, to mass by slightly drawing all the fingers with the other hand, while going from the base to the point, arriving at the ends of the fingers, to grip slightly while drawing.
Stay tuned for more exercises for inceasing your longetivity and promote your good health at no cost but only your will.

Xi Shui Jing
Know the well kept secrets of the ancient Chinese on the preservation of life for longetivity.
Practicing this exercises will increase one's vitality ,promote good health against diseases and definitely make one youthful beyond your wildest dreams.
The origin
According to the tradition, it is known as that Chi Kung of regeneration of marrows was created by Bodhidharma, a buddhist monk of the fifth century which from India to China or it was at the origin of Buddhism “Chan” (or Zen in Japan).
It taught the regeneration of marrows to the monks of the monastery of Shaolin (small forest) to improve their health and to return them less materialists. Thereafter, of many alternatives were invented by Buddhists and taoists.
Benefits
- reinforcement of the system imunitaire. - reinforcement of the energy of the kidneys.
- increase in the original vital gasoline (Jing). - purification of marrows.
- improvement of the quality of blood. - improvement of the concentration.
- spiritual awakening. - improvement of the various directions.
Four marrows
The definite tradition 4 marrows which exert complementary energy functions:
- the marrow of the bones. - spinal cord. - the brain. - kidneys.
4 marrows are controlled by the points Sui Hai (sea of marrows = 39 gall bladder, Xuan Zhong, 3 cun with the top of the external maléoles, on the former edge of the fibula) whose toning up makes it possible to fight against ageing, to increase potential longevity and to invigorate the brain in order to preserve all its faculties to him.
The energy conversion
“San Bao”, three treasures
Chi Kung of marrows, carries out a transformation of energies into three stages such as it is sought by the practices taoist:
- Jing (original energy) is transformed into Chi (vital energy).
In the kidneys is to store an energy gasoline, Jing (to pronounce “djing”). It is the energy which the man receive with his birth (in fact at the time of the design). It is its fundamental gasoline, its source of vitality, its will of survival. It is also called ancestral energy, because it is transmitted parents to children and consequently carries the traces of our ancestors. For the Chinese, his material demonstration is sexual energy, which implies that the sexual continence or the control of the sexual instincts makes available this energy for other activities and amongst other things to transform it by stage successive into Hsu. Jing it is also a piece of universal energy which connects to us with the whole and which makes it possible the man to turn over to his source by the respiratory meditation and exercises. Yang Jing is the economic management of this energy and its increase. By breathing and the assimilation, Jing combined with cosmic energy (air, food) becomes Chi which is the second stage of the process of transformation. The quality of Chi thus depends on the quantity of Jing and the quantity and quality of cosmic energy brought.
- Chi tranforme in Shen (spiritual energy or conscience).
Chi, it is the interior breath, energy specific to the alive being. By abdominal breathing, Chi is sublimated, appears then the third energy chain link, Shen, spiritual energy. Since the Tan Tien lower (in the abdomen) Shen rises along the spinal column to the Tan higher Tien, in the head, or it then operates an awakening of the ordinary conscience (Shih Shen) appeared with the birth which becomes the spiritual conscience (Yuan Shen) which is former to the birth and makes it possible the man to communicate with the force of the universe (Bond Chi Hua Shen). This second stage of transformation marks the beginning of the control, the beginning of the awakening of the conscience with a vaster reality.
- Shen is transformed into Hsu (vacuity).
It is the ultimate stage of the transformation and the control of energy. By this last stage, the man absorbs the spirit to turn over to the vacuum (Bond Shen Fu Hsu). This vacuum, it is the non-being, the primary education state of the spirit not differentiated (before the birth), the state of dissolution of Ego in the cosmic force. This stage is not death or disappearance, it is controlled and carried out in all conscience. The wise one does nothing any more but one with the universe. It is identified with the CAT, its power and its potential is as unlimited as are to it those of the universe. Such is the ultimate goal of the practice of Chi Kung, which after having brought health and balance, made it possible to develop the conscience and the potential for finally reaching the total control of energy.
Practicing this exercises will increase one's vitality ,promote good health against diseases and definitely make one youthful beyond your wildest dreams.

Yi Jin Jing
-A little bit of history
- A prince in ChinaIt is said that the prince of a little Hindu village called Sardilli (also knowned as Bodhidarma), traveled to China on the year 526. Back then the Monk exchange to preach the Buddhist philosophy that came from India was very common.Upon his arrival at China his name become Bodhidarma a Dharmo and after that adapted to the region phonetics transforming into Dharmo a DA Mo.DA MO is considered the first patriarch of the Chan Buddhism (A new type of Buddhism brought by DA MO, that later on was knowned as Zen Buddhism in Japan).
The Shaolin Temple
It is said that DA MO was rejected at various temples because of his new perspectives of Buddhism. This ideas where disturbing for people and they continued practicing Buddhism as they were. His search would end when he arrives at the Shaolin Temple (wich was created on the year 495 a. C., where they only did religious practices and translations of old texts). But the search would not end within him. DA MO would be rejected again there, and after that he retired to meditate near the Temple for 9 years.
The Legend says that he meditated all the time, even in the presence of a furious Tigers, and when he began to fall asleep he took off his eyelids. It was such the tremendous effort that he made, that the monks within the Temple opened their doors to him and accepted him as their new guide.
In the beginning
They said that the first thing that DA MO observed was the little physical resistance monks had in regards to committing the extenuating meditation practices he brought.
This monks were really weak!!!
DA MO developed two systems that were the most known because of their influence in Martial Arts: 1) The transformation of muscle and tendon. 2) The Marrow Washing
Many people quote DA MO also as the creator of the Shaolin boxing. But the most probable thing is that years later the monks themselves mixed the Chi Kung practices created by DA MO with the classic styles and the military styles that with the passing of time were integrated to the temple.
How are this exercises?
Whereas you can find differences and variables on this exercises, generally they are known as a unique set of 12 movements. Some find them similar with the typical yoga exercises and use this as another proof of the Hindu precedence of DA Mo.
The technique changes with each school, some make isometric energy, others move energetically their arms or use their palms, and there are those who exercise it as soft Chi Kung, using only the stimulation of the mind.
In 1500 years an exercise can suffer a lot of improvements and modifications. They can even result in a special style, or become the heart of an existent one.
In our school (the school of Master Chan Kowk Wai) its worked first in a slow manner feeling the change in the position of the muscle and tendons, and afterwards in a fashion more energetic focusing at the end of the movement (at the moment of "impact"). Acquiring in this way improvement in regards to health, muscle and tendons, and also a potent punch. It is done in series of "49" punches. The first thing a pupil asks is why this numbers, the answer is pretty simple for Master Chan: "Cryptic meanings".
Development and Cares
It is said that DA MO originally created the set of Muscle and tendon transformation (which is related with fire and works from outside to inside) along with the Marrow Washing (another set of exercises related with water, created to strengthen and renew the bone marrow)
One of the reasons that these two exercises are combined is because the excess of the transformation of muscle and tendons set change create the body into too much "Yang" (Positive, strong, masculine), and this would create an acceleration on the natural process of decay of our body.
Also the indiscriminate practice of this set of exercises can create our muscles to hipertrophyate (growing of the muscles) creating compression in our energetic cords stopping the natural flowing of our energy.
That’s why the Marrow Washing was originally created as method to compensate the effects of the Yi Jin Jing and exercise the muscle and tendons as much as the bones.
Some say that the original treaty of the Marrow Washing is lost.
Likewise some different versions of this exercises arrived to our days. Some making emphasis on the internal part and some other different exercises (weight lifting with the genitals or Chi Kung Forms)
If you work Yi Jin Jing alone, it is recommended not to make more repetitions than you should and to work with it breaks or for seasons. The irresponsible practice of it can create typical problems like unnecessary growth of the muscle, tensions and contractions.
